Starting in spring, all our Jersey cows can be put out to pasture. Our milk is officially meadow milk because our cows are outside for at least 120 days per year for a minimum of six hours per day. If it’s cold outside and they’d prefer to stay indoors, they can do that. If they find it too hot outside, they can decide for themselves to seek the shade and coolness of the shed. Just like you would, actually. So, we open the shed doors as soon as possible and they can decide where they want to be. After all, cows know what they need.
